Most common eye color in cats?

i have to tabby cats (male and female) who have blue eyes and 1 yellow tabby, 1 grey, 1 calico, 1 black, and 2 tortous shell cats who all have green eyes.

what is the catch? how come 2 of my tabbies have blue eyes but the other one doesn't?Most common eye color in cats?
Some interesting responses. A female tabby is not rare, but a male calico is extremely rare, as he would be a genetic mistake, with an extra chromosome, and also sterile. Calicos and torties are almost always female.

Cats have some of the widest range of eye colors in the animal world.

Perhaps the most common color is in the yellow-gold range, but there are a lot of colors represented in the cat world.

If your tabbies came from the same litter, they likely had different fathers. The female cat controls fertilization. Most common eye color in cats?
I think the common colors are green-yellow/green and gold.

It's uncommon to have female orange/red tabbies and male calicos.
Its rare for an adult tabby cat to have blue eyes unless they are a pointed tabby and not a regular tabby.

I would say the most common eye color is green or green-gold.
It's not rare to have a female tabby. It's rare to have a female calico.

But I would go with green or yellow being the most common.
i have 7 cats....im not the crazy cat lady, they were all strays....5 have gold eyes 2 has green eyes
