My Gfriend has dual colored eyes, green on the outside and a light shade of brown in the middle. She says they're orange in the middle but then i tell her people don't have orange in the eye color scheme, or not that ive ever seen or heard of, and shes not a cat. I always thought it went light blue-dark blue-blue green-light brown and so on. Can people really have purple, orange, yellow ect color eyes.If so i dont want to know if you know some1 with those colors bcuz people tend to misconstrue colors for what they want to see. i just want science facts Thx AlotGenetics and eye color?
No, orange is not natural. Humans only have brown, green, or blue eyes, and shades of each will vary. If she does in fact have orange eyes, then it's a genetic mutation. It might not be harmful. Just means there was a little hiccup when she first received her father's and mother's genes.Genetics and eye color?
Eye color used to be thought of as coming from two genes with two alleles each. (so mom could be AaBb and dad AaBb - which could result in 6 different color possiblities of 16) - however, now the actual number of genes is unknown - the mouse has over 60. Two melanin genes ant wo genes that specify greenis blue colors have been indentified. Then there genes for specks, flecks, streaks, rings, regions of dark vs. light, and peaks and valley! So, it's completely possible that her eyes are like that! I personally know a woman with light brown/amber/orange eyes that have blue right around the iris.
Pigment expression is tricky business and can vary a lot. Eye color is based on genetic expression (her parent's eye colors).
It sounds like why her eyes have the orange spot though is because of a deposit of the yellow pigment called ';lipochrome'; in the iris (which is also found in green and violet eyes).
maybe but her eyes sound HAZEL which is the mix. I think it just light brown
