Is my eye color special at all?

ok i dont want any negative comments about my eye color. that will just make me feel terrible.


they're brown. but in the sunlight they're the exact color of my hair (i have red hair. its like golden auburn color, but a variaty of reds make up this color. so my hair is special!!) and theres gold rings around the outside of the iris. and then theres some ';stripes'; i guess coming from my pupil to the outside of my eye. in triangles sort of. but they're like the color of my eyes, just tinted a little more olive-y. ive noticed my right eye has more gold rings than the left, and my left eye is more olive-y than the right.


but thats only how the look in the sunlight.


if im just standing in a room they look brown. and under certain light they look burgandy (sp).





ive heard that everyone's eyes are different. like fingerprints. even if they look like the same color they're not.





i really wish there was a way to lighten my eye color a little more so they look the way they do in the sunlight more often.





i wonder if there is a way?

everyone's eye colour is special, because there is no two the same. so yeah i guess yours are. they sound real interesting. one of my friends eyes they are the dark brown, but they're green on the outside with a gold blending them together. People have called mine blue, grey, green, hazel, weird, yellow- blue but i just looked in the mirror and discovered they are a really blue colour on the outside, then they go blue and then there are gold spikes coming out from the pupil. I think of it as an eclipse HA. so yea i went off the topic but haha everyones eyes are so complex if u really look at them.Is my eye color special at all?
Your eye colour definitely sounds pretty, but it isn't special - everyone's eyes are different. Mine are different to most others; brown rings around the pupil and edge of iris, then the rest is a crazy mix of grey, blue and green - they appear to be grey in the dark, and aqua in the light (I say 'grey-blue' when asked...)

If you have trauma to your eyes they change colour (that happened to me; my eyes were light, light blue before and now they have yellow in them) but I don't think that's really something for someone to try...





I don't believe that herbs and diets will change your eye colour, but there is a surgery you can get and you can tattoo your eyes.
You're eyes are special if you believe they are. You don't need the opinions of strangers to tell you whether or not you like your eyes. my eyes look dull in certain lighting, and my eyes are bright green. I think eyes, of all colors, are beautiful. and everyones eyes look brighter, and more colorful in the light. If you consider your eyes special, then they are. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise.

My friend heathers eyes can turn GREY like completely


theyre blue, very blue


but when shes depressed they turn completely grey


i used to think it was contacts but once i saw them change for myself o.O


but no i dont think you can change ur eye color besides contacts,

i dont think you should be self consious about it...it sounds like you have gorgeous eyes....and im sure they are quite the conversation starter

Yes. I believe eyes are more unique than fingerprints. You could try different colors of mascara to bring out different colors better.

Your eyes are awesome... My eyes are hazel but people mostly see the brown... They assume... But if you get close to me you can see light green.
that sounds so cool! my eyes are kinda weird too. mine are like silver on the outside, like an amberish goldish color near the center, and a greyish blue in between

yes everyone's eyes are completely different and they can be used like fingerprints (many government agencies use retinal scanners to identify personnel and allow access to classified areas because they are even more fool-proof than fingerprints)





as far as changing you eye color... unfortunately our eye color is a genetic trait that is built into our DNA, which means there is no way you can change it. sometimes, a person's eye color will change naturally but it's never dramatic and there is nothing you can do to encourage this, it just happens.


you can try to accent certain aspects of your eyes using make-up that will make them seem to be slightly different colors though. i would suggest going to a make-up counter in a department store (like Macy's or Sears) and asking if they do make-up for free. some will, some require purchases (i know most Clinique counters do it free but MAC will make you buy at least $50 worth of make-up). once you find one that you like, explain to them what it is you want and ask them to show you how to do it. once they do that you can either buy the make-up you need from them (it is generally considered a courtesy that you buy at least one thing) or you can go to a drug store and buy the cheaper stuff. then go home and take a picture of what they did. use that, along with what they tell you, to base you make-up off in the future and accent your natural eyes-rather than try to change them (because i guarantee whatever you buy will not work)
