What color does anyone predict my baby's eye color will be?

I have dark brown eyes, so does my mother and father but my boyfriend's eyes are a light brown/ hazel , his father has light blue eyes and his mother has dark brown eyes.. can anyone give any predictions? i would gladly apprieciate it =]What color does anyone predict my baby's eye color will be?

If there are no blue eyes in your family, i would hazard a guess to say brown for the baby.


But if you have a recessive blue/green gene, then it could meet up with his recessive blue gene, and you could end up with a blue eyed baby. I think the odds of that are generally considered to be 1 in 4, if you both have blue eyed parents.


My mom has grey blue eyes, my dad dark brown, all 4 kids got brown. My moms parents were both blue, but my dad's were brown- therefore he had no blue recessive to meet with hers. However, i have three kids, with my DH who has dark brown eyes. His mom also has blue eyes (like my moms)


Two of our kids got seriously dark brown, one has blue. So i would lay odds on brown for you, but you might get a wild card, genetically.

Probably dark brown, it depends on who has the most dominant gene. Some babies eyes look very light when they are born but then change to a darker color.

Dark brown eyes are a dominant gene. And since you have them, and both of your parents have them, he will have them. But your grandchild's eyes might be blue!
Most likely brown since it is the dominant gene over blue. It is possible for green eyes, but that is a rareity
